Together with a friend, Jade formed The Sisterhood Of The Couch Surfing Canvas Collective. The original artists shared canvases, adding to each one then exhibited them at the Boggabri Art Shed in 2017.
In preperation for her first book, Jade provided members with one page of information only, challenging artists to create an illustration for The Sheep Dog.
Creating a vibrant space to create, Jade has provided women in her community opportunities to learn new skills and express themselves through painting, with acrylic, watercolour, and through waste art.
During COVID lockdowns, Jade encouraged local creative women to stay connected through The Travelling Junk Journal. Utilising a discarded library book, the Journal created a collaborative domain for ladies to express their feelings, and share lockdown experiences in an artistic way. The completed journal was donated to the Gunnedah Town Collection and is housed at the Bicentennial Creative Arts Centre.
